Our responsibility

Taking responsibility is an integral part of our daily activities and follows the holistic approach of putting the well-being of people, the environment and the community first. This approach serves as the benchmark for our strategic orientation. We at Welotec know that sustainability has many facets and accept the responsibility of aligning our actions and being accordingly.

We are solidary, transparent, ethically correct and environmentally conscious. And that is exactly what we want to demonstrate day after day. This awareness extends across ecological, economic and social areas in which we actively engage with various measures and thus proactively assume responsibility, stand up for others and contribute to a future worth living.

At Welotec GmbH, we see the idea of sustainability as an opportunity. An opportunity to take responsibility, an opportunity to develop further and an opportunity to contribute to a future worth living. We always want to be better than yesterday and gear our actions to the day after tomorrow. This is precisely why we focus on the various facets of sustainability and have been working on it in different areas for many years. In addition, we have firmly anchored the topic in our corporate strategy: sustainable, conscious and transparent action enables us to proactively assume responsibility.

In our continuous improvement process, we set internally binding goals, the achievement of which is reflected by constant monitoring. These include saving emissions, sustainable logistics and procurement, as well as short- and long-term measures to reduce the carbon footprint of our employees.

The third pillar is our social responsibility. We always act in accordance with the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG) throughout the company. Internally, we also rely on measures such as health surveys, team building, health and safety training as well as a living culture of values in order to increase the satisfaction of our employees and guarantee long-term loyalty. We accept our regional responsibility in Münsterland and cooperate with regional associations and networks. We also focus on training and promoting young people in the region.

Various actions to assume external social responsibility, such as various donation campaigns, round off our social commitment. The measures in the areas of environment, labour & human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement were awarded the bronze medal in the EcoVadis sustainability ranking in July 2022 directly at the first attempt.

Our economic responsibility is fundamentally based on our economic success. To achieve our economic goals in line with our sustainable and responsible actions, we focus on digitalisation, decentralisation and decarbonisation. We encourage our customers to rely on renewable energies, to expand charging infrastructures and to contribute to sustainable agriculture with our solutions. We develop our high-quality digital IoT solutions with passion, innovation and as a reliable partner for the benefit of our customers.

In our offices, we rely on paperless accounting and filing, as well as video conferencing systems for communication. We see ISO certification as an important tool for our organisation and our economic goals. Our company is certified according to ISO 27001 and thus distinguishes itself for special information security. Furthermore, we ensure our quality through ISO 9001 certification.
