Business Development Manager Edge Computing (m/w/d)

Your mission

Your role will involve working with the sales department to develop new or existing customers in the edge computing space.

  • You will be responsible for increasing Welotec's market share in edge computing and support the sales team in servicing new customers
  • You will implement regional and global sales, project and service strategies to develop market potential and identify further growth opportunities
  • Together with partner networks, you will develop customer-specific offers, advise our customers and respond to their needs
  • Also you will work closely with your colleagues from other departments  act as an interface between our external partners and our internal colleagues and specialists 
  • Processing customer inquiries, including pre-qualification and evaluation of customer requirements and requests falls within your area of responsibility
  • You will be involved in the preparation of the business plan for the product groups
  • Futhermore you will also be responsible for regular reporting and monitoring of sales activities as well as forecasting for your market
  • You create product information and presentations
  • You represent the company at trade fairs and congresses

Your profile

  • You have successfully completed a technical or business degree / apprenticeship and bring a high level of technical expertise and a very good understanding of business management with you
  • Ideally, you have experience in selling solutions in the industrial and IoT environment or several years of professional experience in a comparable field (business development, product management, project management, sales)
  • Also you have a strong customer orientation and a sense for potentials
  • You are interested in the "use cases" and develop business opportunities in new segments
  • Strong communication skills and being ambitious and persistent in the pursuit of your goals characterize you
  • To network and establish new strategic contacts comes easy for you
  • You gain an overall understanding of our products and enjoy acquiring new customers
  • Furthermore your way of working is proactive, independent, solution-oriented and structured
  • You have a very good command of German and English
  • You are a team player and drive virtual collaboration forward
  • Furthermore, you are willing to travel (approx. 25%)
