Welotec Industrial Computer Philosophy
Whether for use in a control cabinet, as a rugged embedded system for the most adverse environmental conditions, as a DIN rail PC or in a customer-specific design for mobile or stationary applications: highest quality and reliability are a priority at Welotec. When selecting all components, we pay particular attention to a particularly low MTBF, so that our customers have as little maintenance as possible when using them.
Embedded PCs offer a combination of minimal construction size, a typically fanless design with no moving parts and are virtually noiseless. Our range thereby covers every requirement from economical single-core to high-performance processors from the Intel Core-i or Xeon series with up to four cores, and thus also meets the highest performance requirements in the field of machine vision, for example. Expansion slots also offer the option of satisfying special interface requirements, such as fieldbus applications like Profibus.
Embedded PCs offer a large range of design types to best satisfy the installation and space requirements of the customer's application. Whether as table installation or wall-mounted units, VESA mountings behind a display or for rail-mounted appliances, embedded computers offer a great deal of versatility here. Housings and motherboards are entirely coordinated in embedded systems and offer an extensive and diversified range of interfaces despite their typically compact design. Missing I/O ports, such as specially certified fieldbuses or legacy interfaces, can often be retrofitted here in various expansion slots.
Despite fanless and silent operation, industrial embedded systems can meet a wide range of performance requirements. For modern industrial applications, we can now provide virtually any computing power required and also implement comprehensive connectivity solutions.
Panel PCs combine the benefits of an embedded system with a high-quality industrial display in a space-saving device. These are capable of combining the function of the control system and HMI and provide flexible installation possibilities. Whether free-standing, wall-mounted, in a 19" rack or in the control cabinet door, a panel PC combines performance and usability with the advantages of an embedded system without display.
They can be used as an Andon Board, as an operating panel or as a fully-fledged machine controller, but also for simple status display. Panel PCs are indispensable in factory buildings. We offer variable versions with high temperature ranges, for harsh environmental conditions, a variety of interfaces and with user-friendly touch screen.
Panel, or even all-in-one PCs typically come without fans in the lower and mid-range performance class ranges and provide high reliability due to their lack of mechanical components. These are noiseless during operation when using an SSD or mSATA flash disk. Actively cooled panel PCs can more effectively dissipate waste heat due to more effective processors, expansion cards and larger displays as passively cooled devices and can therefore also incorporate temperature-critical extensions, such as special measuring cards. The devices can hardly be heard in quiet environments due to the use of high quality, temperature-controlled fans.
For use in particularly demanding environments, Welotec offers high-quality panel PCs with all-round IP66 or IP67 protection. Here, the interfaces are protected against moisture and dust and protected against vibrations by robust M12 or similar screw connections. This not only extends the service life under adverse conditions, but also allows easy cleaning.
The wide distribution of information is the trademark of large panel PCs beyond the normal sizes. Welotec provides dimensions of up to 80“ in TFT technology with or without touch here and practically unlimited sizes and resolutions using modular LED systems. Extensive customization to the application and environment is also possible.
19“ Rackmount Industrial Computer
The classic 19“ Industrial PCs for rack mounting offer more flexibility in component selection and allow the use of up to seven PCI/PCI-Express or ISA plug-in cards in classic ATX equipment and up to 13 such extensions in PICMG design. There is also the possibility of making optical drives such as DVD burners and removable slots for hard drives externally accessible and providing additional storage space internally.
