IR-release

Using the IR-release function can effectively avoid the operator starting a system beyond his field of vision. For starting the system, the user is required to adjust the transmitter on an additional UDF-infrared receiver and to confirm the start button on the transmitter. Now the transmitter sends a coded release signal by radio and infrared. The system is only started if release signal is received by the receiver by radio and infrared. The IR start release function is only active as long as the start button is pressed. Due to the physical characteristics of the infrared connection requiring a direct visual connection without barriers, it is guaranteed during this time that the system is only started if the user is at a position guaranteeing a safe operation of the system. After start release, only a radio connection is required which enables the user the greatest possible liberty of action, independent of barriers.

IR-selection

This function enables the operator to select one of several systems (receivers) per infrared connection by means of a hand-held transmitter. To select a system, the user is required to adjust the transmitter on an additional UDF-infrared receiver and to confirm the start button on the transmitter. By infrared the transmitter now transmits the set frequency and the system code to the receiver which changes over to the new parameters. Now the user can control the selected system by means of his hand-held transmitter. If another system is required to be operated, the stop button at the transmitter must be activated at first in order to release the selected receiver. Now it is possible to select another system and the first receiver can be taken over by another user.

Option "Software DialogUD"

DialogUD offers users of remote controls of the UD series help regarding configuration, diagnosis and recall of the operating status.
DialogUD offers the main functions of maintenance and intervention from a distance:
Programming of receiving frequency.
Programming of allocation «Transmitter button - relay».
Programming of electric central lock of control pushbuttons.
Diagnosis function for the preventive maintenance of equipment (counter of receiver relays, timing of relay activation and possibility for storing all data of the UD system).
Indication of the UDE transmitter operation for the release of possible configuration changes.
Indication of radio reception quality for the detection of possible interference zones.

Option "Micro-gear"

The option «Micro-gear» enables the application of a second allocation of the «pusbuttons - relay» of the receiver and the control of a slave relay.
By means of a simple pushbutton combination at the transmitter (pressing push-buttons no. 1 and no. 2 for three seconds) a command is sent to the receiver which activates another allocation table «pushbuttons - relay».
The recveiver is provided with the a slave card on which a relay is activated if using the function.
For deactivation of the «Micro-gear»-function, the operator is required to press the bush buttons no. 1 and no. 2 of the transmitter for a second time. This is how the receiver is put back in its normal operation (the slave relay is deactivated, the receiver activates the first allocation table «pushbuttons - relay»).

Option "Overhead crane transfer"

The function «Overhead crane transfer» enables the handover of control of a receiver from one user to another.
The advantage of this function os the control of equipment with a far distance and/or transition through several zones.
Control of the equipment cannot take place simultaneously. If user no. 1 controls the equipment, he is required to send a release command for the next transmitter (pressing transmitter pushbuttons no. 3 and 4 for three seconds) to the receiver, before user no. 2 can take over control.
The receicver ist provided with a slave card, on which a relay indicates the availability of the receiver.

Option "Overhead crane coupling"

Using the function «Overhead crane coupling» the user can control two receivers at the same time.
The user has also the possibility to control the two receivers independent of each other using a fix 2-positions-switch (rotary switch or electronic switches) by selectingone or both UDE transmitters.
Thanks to this process, these two receivers can be controlled separately by two users at the same time.
The receiver (B) is provided with a slave card on which a relay indicates its availability.
